100% Australian Origin, Ethically-Sourced, Non-Mulesed Merino Wool

The mammoth collection

Providing the best protection isn't just about offering leading-edge safety features. It's about doing everything we can to ensure the well-being of kids riding in our seats. Our Mammoth Collection uses 100% Australian Merino wool fabric that is not only natural, but renewable, biodegradable, and best of all, naturally flame-retardant - no added flame retardants required!

What are the Benefits of Merino Wool?

clek flame resistant

Naturally Flame Resistant

Wool has an innately high ignition and melting point, which makes it a great naturally flame-retardant alternative to synthetic fabrics, without the need for any chemical treatments.

Oh So Breathable

Merino wool is known for its excellent moisture vapour absorption. This means that it offers improved airflow throughout the fabric, for a more comfortable and less sweaty kid!

Cool When Warm, Warm When Cool

Did you know that wool reacts to changes in body temperature? That means it will help keep your little one cool and comfy when it's hot out, and warm and cozy when it's not.

Clek odor resistant icon

Stain and Odor Resistant

Wool has unique properties that allow it to trap odour-causing bacteria and sweat molecules, only releasing them when washed. The presence of lanolin and keratin in its fibre help prevent stains from being absorbed.

Soft to the Touch

Hands up if you automatically think 'itchy sweater' when you hear "wool". Well, that's not the case with Merino wool.  Its fibres are much finer, giving it a texture that's luxuriously soft to the touch.

clek hypoallergenic icon

Merino wool is a natural material that has hypoallergenic properties, which means it's a great alternative for children with sensitive skin or allergies to other fabrics.

Eco-Friendly Features for Merino Wool

Natural and renewable

Sheep produce a new fleece every year, making Merino wool a 100% natural and completely renewable fibre - ethically sourced, of course!

Being a natural fibre, wool will organically break down in a matter of years, gradually releasing beneficial nutrients back into the soil over time.

The strength and quality of wool fibre makes it especially well-suited to recycling and re-use, which significantly lowers its impact on the environment.

What Clek Owner's Are Saying:

"Now that we are weeks out from baby number 2 arriving, it was a no brainer to keep Clek in the family. I can't say enough good things about these seats, not only are they beautiful looking… but I can honestly say I feel Hayden is the safest. The metal frame and anti-rebound bar make these car seats heavy duty! Plus the Merino Wool is a huge bonus and I don't think I could ever go back! It has no flame retardants, keeps them cool in the summer and warm in the winter, and wipes clean so easily! Thank you Clek for making a safe, wool (and non-toxic) car seat! Can't wait for our new babe to be cozy in his new wool seat like his sister."
"My kiddos love their Clek's. They've never complained about comfort And have always slept well in them. I feel like Freddy is so spoiled in the super soft fabric in his foonf. So luxurious."

Cleaning & Care Facts

The care and cleaning for wool is also the same as that of our other fabric covers, which only allow for hand-washing, with the exception that you will want to choose a wool-safe detergent. You may also use Clek's cleaning kit.

Cleaning Instructions:

Mammoth wool fabric can be spot cleaned using warm water and a mild wool-safe detergent. You may also use Clek's cleaning kit, but do not use the soft-bristled brush, as it will increase the likelihood of pilling.
