The Foonf's REACT (Rigid-LATCH Energy Absorbing Crumple Technology) Safety System actively reduces the forces transferred to a child in a frontal collision using the principles of automotive crumple technology, while ensuring a simple, solid and secure forward-facing installation. It delivers rear-facing safety performance in a forward-facing car seat.

Foonf is designed to international best practice, allowing for most kids to remain rear-facing until their fourth birthday.
It includes a steel Anti-Rebound bar that protects your child by preventing rebounding when rear-facing in a frontal collision and rotation in a side-impact collision. It also improves installation, maximizing leg room by nesting firmly and evenly into the flat part of the vehicle seat.

Shown above are the independent results of the forces measured during FMVSS213 crash testing for LATCH (UAS) installation.
- 1 year old is rear-facing. 3 and 6 year old are forward-facing.
- 6 year old forward-facing installation is with both LATCH (UAS) and vehicle belt.
1. Head Injury Criteria (HIC) is used to assess the probability of a head injury. HIC is determined using the resultant acceleration at the center of gravity of the head. The threshold limit is 1000.
2. Chest Accelerationis measured in Gs and is used to assess the probability of a chest injury. The threshold limit is 60 Gs.
The Clek Foonf convertible child seat has undergone rigorous dynamic crash testing, including:
- Compliance testing which is federally required and represents 98% of all real-world crashes.
- NCAP testing which simulates forces experienced in extreme crashes.
- Side-impact and other extensive due-care testing which tests conditions outside of compliance testing, such as structural integrity for maximum occupant weight and various installation positions, the effect of extreme temperatures, misuse conditions, etc.
